This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Anthra uses on anthra.com. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential to authenticate you and to protect the Service from cross-site request forgery. They cannot be switched off because the Service will not work without them.

• authjs.session-token / __Secure-authjs.session-token — keeps you signed in. Set by Auth.js. Expires when your session ends.
• authjs.csrf-token / __Host-authjs.csrf-token — CSRF protection for sign-in flows. Session cookie.
• authjs.callback-url — remembers where to send you after sign-in. Session cookie.

2.2 Functional

Local preferences (such as your cookie-banner choice) are stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie, and never leave your device.

2.3 Analytics, advertising, third-party tracking

Anthra does not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking technologies, or third-party analytics that build profiles of you. If we add any in the future, we will update this page and request your consent through our cookie banner before they are placed.

3. Reader analytics

For published books, we record a pseudonymous event derived from your IP address and user agent using HMAC with a daily server-side key that we do not retain. This is a server-side log entry, not a cookie, and is described in Section 2.4 of our Privacy Policy.

4. Controlling cookies

Most browsers let you refuse or remove cookies through the settings menu. Because the cookies we use are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in to your account. You can find browser-specific instructions at aboutcookies.org.
