# Anthra

> Anthra turns an idea into a finished, narrated, publishable ebook. It exposes
> its full capability set to AI agents over both a Model Context Protocol (MCP)
> server and a versioned REST API, authenticated with scoped API keys.

- [MCP endpoint](https://anthra.com/api/mcp): JSON-RPC over Streamable HTTP. Auth: OAuth 2.1 (Claude.ai / ChatGPT connectors: paste the URL) or `Authorization: Bearer ant_live_…` with an API key. Append `?toolset=core,production,webhooks` to narrow the tool list. Supports tools, resources (`anthra://books/{id}`), and prompts.

## Authentication

- Mint scoped API keys in the dashboard. Scopes: books:read, books:write, generation:run, publish:write, account:read, analytics:read.
- Keys can be narrowed to specific books and given a monthly credit cap.

## Long-running work

- `generate_book` runs the durable full-book pipeline and returns immediately. Poll `get_book` (status → ready) or register a webhook (`create_webhook`) for `job.succeeded` / `job.failed` / `book.published` events instead of polling. Deliveries are HMAC-signed.
